Classic Start menu personalistation

I have a little but annoying problem with the vista start menu in classic
mode. I have ticked the personalised menu option in customize section. It
does not personalise the programs section at all. The sub menus is does but
only 'greys' them not hides them.
Any ideas on get the old XP behaviour back as my Programs is getting a bit
long.
(I've not added anything to my start menu for about a month now)
Thanks
Andrew

RE: Classic Start menu personalistation

Hi Andrew,

This one puzzled me but I note that the main programmes list now seems to be
in

C:/Programme Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs

While under each user there is a "Programs" entry which can be reached by
going to "Advanced" in the "Customize Classic Menu". By moving files/folders
from the first to the second and then clearing them and sorting them I seem
to be getting things under control.

I hope that helps is seems to be working for me.

Mike
