| | Appcrash problem with Harvard Graphics program I am trying to run Harvard Graphics Advanced Presentations 3 and get an appcrash error (see below) when I try to run it. HG is kind of passing the buck on this one, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestionson how to fix. I'd be so grateful! | | Re: Appcrash problem with Harvard Graphics program Have you tried compatibility mode with say XP. Right click on the .exe and select properties, then compatibility and try any you think this program would run with. | | Re: Appcrash problem with Harvard Graphics program Hi Heather, Two things to try before returning the software: 1) Right click the shortcut or executable and try 'run as administrator'. 2) Right click the shortcut or executable and choose properties. On the compatibility tab try using a mode that the software is compatible with. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Heather" <Heather@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:A406B0DF-C448-4F7E-B7B3-0F50B9200538@xxxxxx Quote: >I am trying to run Harvard Graphics Advanced Presentations 3 and get an > appcrash error (see below) when I try to run it. | Vista | Re: Appcrash problem with Harvard Graphics program Heather (and Rick), any luck running HG AP 3 under Vista? I tried the compatibility workarounds, to no avail. The program starts, but closes or crashes when I bring up the file menu. I think I tried all the other Windows OS options, all with run as administrator. No luck so far. Any thoughts appreciated. I haven't found a reasonably priced graphics program that can do what HG does fairly simply. And it is like riding a bicycle . . . I've gotten used to it, and don't want to try to learn something else. --CohoMike |
