Vista - Windows Easy Transfer Stops Running or Hangs

With no indication, looks like it's running. In the part where it's
gathering files for transfer. If I x out of the program in the sending pc it
says there was am access error on some log file, gives me the option if I
want to continue without it and if I say yes it just ends. I'm transferring
using the network and a ethernet cross over cable. I tried running the
programs as administrator. Both machines are running Vista. I'm setting up
my desktop with separate user accounts (the wife and I) and transferring
from my laptop. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
