| | unable to remove programs in Windows Vista I have earlier installed a program called Power Cinema 2.5 by mfr Cyberlink. at that time a Windows Vista combability support function helped with the installation. (At first vista refused to install (An error tells that the program is only for Windows 98, 2000 or higher) and then this Vista compability function popped up and asked if I wanted support with the installation. I have now purchased Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 and during that installation I was asked if I wanted to remove the Power Cinema 2.5, (because of a conflict with Roxio Cine 3.9) which I confirmed, but the program Power Cinema cannot be removed. An error tells that the program is only for Windows 98, 2000 or higher = the same message I got at the installation time, but at this time there is no compability support. Any ideas how to remove the program? |

| | Re: unable to remove programs in Windows Vista Seems to be something they forgot when they designed compatibility mode. One thing that worked with one of my programs was if your program has an uninstall program (usually in the same program folder), right click on that and change it to run in the same compatibility mode that the install was run in and as administrator. Then run it. If not available right click on the ..exe and unselect any compatibility mode and select run as administrator. Then go to control panel\uninstall programs and run the uninstall from there. Good luck.
