    From Boot Camp to Parallels

I installed Vista on my Mac using Boot Camp Beta. What is the best procedure
for moving Vista from the Boot Camp partion to Parallels?

Do I need to uninstall the current partion first, or just reinstall Vista
    with Parallels?

    1. Back up any data you want to save from your Vista partition. It would
be really really smart to also back up your OS X data at this time if
you don't do this already. I use Super Duper with a LaCie external
firewire hard drive and highly recommend this.

    2. Use the Boot Camp Assistant to remove the Vista partition and return
your hard drive to a single partition (just OS X). Now Vista will be
    completely gone.

    3. Purchase/download/install Parallels. Follow the very simple
instructions and install Vista as a virtual machine.

Unless you need to reclaim the physical disk space that your bootcamp
partition is using you can simply install parallels and tell it to make a
virtual machine out of whatever OS it finds in the bootcamp partition.
You'll be wanting to re-install drivers and so on here and there, but 'job
done', essentially, this is the easiest way of migrating from BootCamp to
Parallels and should certainly be your first option if you're happy with
    your current Bootcamp OS install..
