| | Help Making a Bootable Install Disc The computer I plan on installing Vista on just crashed (Login Error: The memory could not be read). Is there a way to make the install disc self-bootable so that I don't have to wipe my HDD to re-install XP first? I burnt a disc on Mac OS X using the default burning procedure (no special software), but now I'm thinking you need to burn it with Nero, etc. to get it to work properly. -- On my 4th attempt to download the monster that is Vista, on Verizon 768k DSL. FiOS install can''''t come soon enough. |

| | Re: Help Making a Bootable Install Disc No, you cannot make the dvd a live dvd able to run Vista directly off of the disc like Knoppix, if that is your meaning.
