| | MS Virtual PC 2007 - virtual hard disk Recently I installed MS Virtual PC 2007 and had allocated about 65G of virtual hard disk space on the virtual machine. After having uninstalled it and deleted the virtual machine, I downloaded a trial version of MS SQL Server 2005 (developer's edition; SQLEVAL.exe); the installation wizard prompted me that I was running out of disk space from the local hard disk (C .Could the problem be related to MS Virtual PC? |

| | RE: MS Virtual PC 2007 - virtual hard disk Uninstalling Virtual PC will not remove the virtualizations and the harddrive files they are using. You will need to remove them manually. The default path for them are in the documents folder that you used to run virtual pc as and "My Virtual Machines". If you remove that folder you should free up some diskspace that was used by your virtual pc machines. /Andreas "Jon" wrote: Quote: > Recently I installed MS Virtual PC 2007 and had allocated about 65G of > virtual hard disk space on the virtual machine. > > After having uninstalled it and deleted the virtual machine, I downloaded a > trial version of MS SQL Server 2005 (developer's edition; SQLEVAL.exe); the > installation wizard prompted me that I was running out of disk space from > the local hard disk (C .> > Could the problem be related to MS Virtual PC? |

| | RE: MS Virtual PC 2007 - virtual hard disk I believe that was empty actually. The free space on the hard disk was showing as having 45.4 G of free space (checked Logical Disk Manager), whilst the setup program was still displaying the 'unsufficient disk space error message'.
