How to turn off fades

Hi Guys,

Can someone please point me to how I turn off window fades in Vista Business
edition?

I've only been using it for an hour or so and I already have a splitting
headache that makes it impossible to work.

I've turned off the fades in the start menu, but can't find how to turn off
the fades in the windows and so on that open and close. Every windows, pop-up
and so on is now _painful_.

G.

Thanks Mike,

Rhetorical question...

Why does MS and every advertiser think we need flashing images and lights in
our eyes when we're trying to work?
