    Installing

Whenever I try and install something I get an error window that says the
directory name is invalid. Whenever I try and uninstall a program windows
tells me that "a program required for the install to complete could not be
    found.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi,

Right click the setup.exe file and try using 'run as administrator'.

    Hi,

Have you disabled UAC? Certain products expect it to be on, and do not act
or install properly if it is disabled. Notably, Adobe's reader software
    among others.

    Re: Installing

There is a distinct possibility that I have disabled UAC. How can I find out
and how would I fix it if I had?

Thanks for your all your help,

    Mack
