| | keyboard and mouse doesn't work I changed the drive routines for the keyboard to be able to use japanese characters (to someting called USB Office-something 106/109) but then the mouse and the keyboard froze and now I can't do anything to make it work. I'm using another computer right now to be able to right this. Everything starts as usual but I can't do anything since either the mouse or the keys work. Help please! |

| | Re: keyboard and mouse doesn't work Are you talking about driver? If you have a driver problem, in device manager, roll back the driver, or uninstall the device and let it find a driver. Do the keyboard and mouse work during post. | | Re: keyboard and mouse doesn't work I am not able to do that since I cannot move the mouse or use the keys. The only place I can move anything is in DOS. But can I reach the device manager from there? "John Barnes" wrote: Quote: > Are you talking about driver? | | Re: keyboard and mouse doesn't work As you boot up your computer, right at the start, tap the F8 key. You will get a list of options; take the one to go into Safe Mode. When you are there> Start> right-click Computer>Properties> Then Tasks>Device Manager> Keyboard. Also System Restore: Start> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore. You can take the computer back in time before you installed the new keyboard driver. You also have the option of system Restore from within the Vista DVD "astrid" wrote: Quote: > Microsoft USB Office Keyboard (106/109) > This is the one I changed to but now everything is frosen as if the mouse > and the keys are locked so I can't redo anything. > Help! > > > "astrid" wrote: > Quote: > > I am not able to do that since I cannot move the mouse or use the keys. > > The only place I can move anything is in DOS.
