unable to get mail

I am getting this message
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'PeoplePC Online', Server:
'pop.peoplepc.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Haven't been able to download for 3 days......

Any suggestions????

Try to contact your provider. Ask whether they are having problems. Anyway,
report your problem to them.
I had such a situation the other week with my provider. It took them 5 days
to repair, nothing was wrong with my PC or with any settings.

Works fine here. Make sure you are not running a non-compatible
antivirus like McAfee or Norton.

Are you saying McAfee is not compatible with vista? Our windows mail has
stopped sending!

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.

I really appreciate the info on the McAfee and Nortons not being compatable
with my vista or windows mail. Thanks leithm this will solve some of my mail
problems.
