    MS Outlook Express problem

I can't use MS Outlook 2002 now! I get this message: Outlook requires MS
Outlook Express 4.01 or greater. I looked and can't find Express anywhere.
I have to use windows Mail now and hate it. No auto correct, etc. like
    windows word.

Outlook 2002 should work on Vista, although it won't remember your email
    account password.
I don't know why it needs OE, unless for news groups.
Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Mail.

    Re: MS Outlook Express problem

It had been working (Outlook) then just quite all of a sudden. Like I said
the message said I needed Outlook Express to use Outlook to work. I put up
with the signin of Mail, but now?? I even rolled back Windows from a previous
    saved one.
I can't even find where to download Outlook Express!!
Thanks Dave anyway for your input.

You can't download Outlook Express and it won't work under Vista.

I'm running Outlook 2003 with no problems. Have you tried reinstalling
    Outlook?

You can't install OE on Vista, unless you are willing to install Virtual PC
or VMware and install XP into that.

The replacement for Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, has auto-correct,
    and it's free: http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas

If you need more help with Outlook, it is best to post in the Outlook
newsgroups since that is where the Outlook experts hang out.

Windows Live is not the same thing as Windows Live Mail.
Having used the latter every day for the past four months, I know for a
    fact that it has auto-correct.

You can't use Outlook 2002 for news, that's what it needs OE for. And you
can't have OE on Vista. You can use Windows Mail for news.

How do you turn on AutoCorrect in WLM. I intentionally mis-spelled some
common words and all it did was underline them in red.
