New computer .... can't get e-mail set up in system that came free for first 3 months, so tried setting up on google ..... didn't work there either .... some message about a pop-up ,,,,. wouldn't know a pop-up if one were to bite me!

You might get a better response if you put your message in the message area
rather than trying to get it all in the title bar. I have a wide screen
monitor and it chops at "first 3 mon", others will see even less.
I suggest you try again and do it properly.

Contact the e-mail provider for a walk through on how to connect to the
providers e-mail server..
