| | Re: message stuck in outbox See if this leads you to help for both of those domains: http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=10918 If it only seems to reach instructions for one of the domains, you may have to clean out your cookies before trying to use it to find information for the other domain. Also, you may need to try the WORKAROUND section of the 941090 hotfix description if you've already tried the 32-bit version of the hotfix, the 64-bit version, and also the Vista SP1 update, and none of them worked. | | Re: message stuck in outbox It states "One or more messages that you have tried to send.........would you like to send it now." Then below it, it offers me to visit a link for "community help" Which is why I am here currently. Gary, by the way, thank you for your help. Are you responsible to help persons in here or just do it out of your own heart? It seems that the ATT account is now working :crosses fingers: But the SBCGLOBAL account says " Account: 'SBCGLOBAL', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92" "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Quote: > Is there an error message when you try to send? | | Re: message stuck in outbox I don't understand your distinction between an AT&T account and an SBCglobal account. They are all the same company. As for the error message below, it sounds like the password store for that account has become corrupted. As a quick fix, try this: Delete that account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate the account. Did that fix it? More worrisome is what caused it to become corrupted in the first place. Which antivirus program are you running? I am an unpaid volunteer who happens to enjoy technical challenges. Being retired, it keeps my mind sharp. :-) -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Mike B" <MikeB@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:6A1EBD51-BC8D-4084-B321-5F215898AD9F@xxxxxx Quote: > It states "One or more messages that you have tried to send.........would you > like to send it now." What if any antivirus programs do you have, and have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus program on that computer? For a temporary fix, download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail not running: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in other folders. The Vista SP1 update includes this hotfix and more, but takes longer to install. |
