| | Re: message stuck in outbox Hi, I tried what you said to do, and it won't work for me! I'm so disgussted with this email site, I want to go back to my other one at comcast. Do you know how I can transfer all the emails that i have received here, to my other email account? Then, I wish to close out this account. Can you please help me with this? | | Re: message stuck in outbox You don't have an account with Microsoft. All you have is a copy of a Microsoft email program. What accounts you enter into that email program is up to you. You can stop using Windows Mail, but there is no feasible way to return downloaded emails to the Comcast server. If you want to give a different Microsoft email program a try, take a look at this one: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "~Linda~" <~Linda~@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EAC23B9D-15EB-4619-AAF4-FA08D4317482@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi, > I tried what you said to do, and it won't work for me! | | Re: message stuck in outbox Make sure you have send authentication enabled: Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers. The box for "My server requires authentication" must be checked. If after making that change you still get an error message, change the outgoing (SMTP) server port from 25 to 587. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "thahn" <thahn@xxxxxx> wrote in message news 024E444-6DC7-47D4-8A21-33C3D59F9C76@xxxxxxQuote: > the error message states: The message could not be sent.
