| | Re: message stuck in outbox "LIVE" is not a valid mail server name. If you are trying to set up a live.com or Hotmail email account use the settings given here: http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog...33!49799.entry Use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Eric" <Eric@xxxxxx> wrote in message news AEDDC7A-3090-4438-A8AF-16B7ACDF3373@xxxxxxQuote: > > The host 'LIVE' could not be found. | | Re: message stuck in outbox I just read the string of emails on this problem. I can't send emails and it says there are two sitting in my outbox, however, when I click on the outbox there is nothing there. I tried the download you said to try but it states the update doesn't apply to your computer. I am no computer wiz, can you tell me how to fix it as it seems you know what you are doing. | | Re: message stuck in outbox If the update said it doesn't apply, it means you already had it, probably through installing Vista's SP1 update. Open the Outbox folder and make sure the 'current view' is set for "Show All Messages" rather than "Hide Read Messages". Delete any messages you see in the Outbox. If no improvement, delete your mail account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (Mail) "Brenda" <Brenda@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:127FAD3C-0A1D-4133-BBC6-3F6017526DDC@xxxxxx Quote: >I just read the string of emails on this problem.
