Vista Profiles

has anyone run into a problem with profiles? I have on account that
is stamped with a temp profile, so every time the user logs off or
restarts his laptop, all profile settings are gone. Outlook profile,
etc... I've wipped out the account from the users folder and from the
registry. I thought that might have fixed it, but NOPE. i tested
with another acccount and that works fine. So it's one account that
is having the problem? If anyone has a fix for this, i would glady
appreciate it!

You've posted to the wrong group. (This is
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail.) Followups will go to
microsoft.public.windows.vista.administration_accounts_passwords.

Is the account in question set up as a "guest" account?

Right-click "Computer" and click Manage. Expand Local Users and Groups
and click Users. Double-click on the account then click the Member Of
tab. If "Guests" is one of the groups, then the account will delete its
profile every time it logs out. Remove it from the Guests group.
Ordinary user accounts should be members of the Users group.
