| | Separate Sent folders in Windows Mail Hi, I just bought I new computer so I'm forced to use Vista and windows mail instead of XP and Outlook Express. Primarily out of a laptop computer, I run three businesses and have two identities for fun so I really miss Outlook Express. To try to simulate identities, I did message rules to put the emails into separate folders. But all my sent emails are in one huge folder and I send 150+ a day. Does anyone know how I can have a "Sent" folder in each of these subfolders? The "From" line seems to be from other people to you, not from one of your emails addresses to someone else. I also have an issue with signatures but I'll try that in another message as I don't want to overload this one. Vista seems very good at overloading. At the moment, it is reminding me of Millennium, which I considered a virus. Bring back XP! Someone told me that you can buy fake identities in the aftermarket for $15.00 but someone else told me that he tried that and it didn’t work. Thanks for any help you can give me. Stephen |

| | Re: Separate Sent folders in Windows Mail Try the newer Windows Live Mail. This is the heir apparent to WM. It has separate Inbox/Draft/Sent/Junk email/Deleted items folders for each account. http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas "Stephen" <Stephen@xxxxxx> wrote in message news 191EA76-0086-41B1-BC36-7C217274EB07@xxxxxxQuote: > Hi, > > I just bought I new computer so I'm forced to use Vista and windows mail > instead of XP and Outlook Express. > > Primarily out of a laptop computer, I run three businesses and have two > identities for fun so I really miss Outlook Express. > > To try to simulate identities, I did message rules to put the emails into > separate folders. | | Re: Separate Sent folders in Windows Mail Hi, Thanks for trying. It did solve my previous problem for no Sent subfolders. But, unfortunately, I traded a problem for a disaster. When I "upgraded" to Windows Live Mail, I lost all of my previously read emails, many of which were not answered and needed to be. With new emails, they all seem to go into Quck Views unread e-mail folder. If you read them there, they just then just disappear. So, without a "To" column (or at least I haven't figured out to get a "To" column to appear yet), you have to figure out which inbox the email should go into and then move it so that if you read it, it won't disappear. Not exactly an ideal situation. Interestingly, there seems to be no junk e-mail filter like there seemed to be in Windows Mail, but when you try to delete the junk mail, instead of it disappearing, you get two of them. Unreal. Maybe Mr. Gates will get this right (or bring back Outlook Express) or maybe if it is supposed to be right now, I will figure out how to deal with it. At the moment, thank God for webmail or I would really be in trouble. Thanks for trying through. Stephen "Dave" wrote: Quote: > Try the newer Windows Live Mail. | | Re: Separate Sent folders in Windows Mail For some people, the Quick Views in WLM are a little buggy in the current build. If that problem affects you (as it does me), read and delete mail in the account folders rather than the Quick View folders. Also, if you decide that WLM is not for you, merely uninstall, and WM is back. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Stephen" <Stephen@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9AB74AD3-E4F8-4B91-911E-E02582E6E3BC@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi, > > Thanks for trying.
