| | Address History in Windows Mail When you start typing a name in the address line on windows mail a number of addressess appear in the popup menu as choices with the same inital letter. Some of these names are not in my windows contacts but are from e-mails I sent previously. I cannot figure out how to delete them. I have done searches and can't find any messages left that have those e-mails. If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks a million Scott |

Thanks a million Scott There is no need to worry about them. Windows Mail remembers about the last 29 used addresses. After that, it automatically removes the oldest one in memory. Eventually they will drop out if not used again in a while. Shawn |

| | Re: Address History in Windows Mail The auto-complete in WM doesn't work very well. And when it works, it only remembers the last 29 entries. If you keep using it, those old ones should fall off. The easiest way to delete them is to send email to 29 other addresses - hopefully your contacts have that many. |

| | Re: Address History in Windows Mail I have noticed a "set preferred" box in the Contacts. Once you click on the name of the person you want to email, click set preferred and that's the only email that will appear when typing in an address. My problem is to get an email address to actually appear in the Send box when I start typing it in.
