| | Outlook error starting new message (Vista) Ever since I got my laptop preloaded with Vista (a year ago), I have received an error in MS Outlook. It occurs the first time I try to start a new message (click New Message). After I say "okay" to this error, it does not reappear until I have closed and opened Outlook again. The message says, "The add-in 'c:\windows\system32\ftext32.dll' could not be installed or loaded." I have regularly installed windows updates and ran Detect and Repair within Outlook, with no solution. Does anybody have suggestions? |

| | Re: Outlook error starting new message (Vista) 2003. I finally found a fix! And it is sooo simple! Go to Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options...>Add-In Manager...Uncheck Fax Extension. Restart Outlook if necessary. By the way I wrote down the file name wrong. It is actually fxsext32.dll.
