how to fix error 'NUL characters are not allowed'

Not sure if this belongs here, but I don't know where else to ask for help. I
tried sendng a plain 3 sentence email, no graphics, nothing, and recieved
this error. What is it and anyone know what I can do to fix it? I've sent
emails to this address before with no problem, last one being a week ago. Any
ideas, please? Thanks.

No problems.

I'm not having any problems with Windows Mail.

Why is this happening?

How can I break it?

Install an antivirus program from Norton or McAfee and then
you'll probably have problems in Windows Mail, although
probably not immediately.

Re: how to fix error 'NUL characters are not allowed'

Trend Micro AV used to be compatible with Windows Mail,
but lately we've had a rash of Trend users here with mail problems.
As a test, uninstall your AV, reboot, then test Windows Mail again.

If the problem is gone, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

Re: how to fix error 'NUL characters are not allowed'

Back once again. I downloaded the Avast antivirus, made sure my setting was
set at , what is it, UTF-8? I sent this out this morning all in Engish, and
this is what was sent in the reply back.
That would be very nice of you, you need it emailed? Or can I bring a
picture on Thursday?

Hi Ronda. Hey, would you happen to have a picture of Rich's dad? I'd like to
get him a memorial ornament.

When I replied back a popup appeared and asked me if I wanted to send it in
unicode, or leave as is. I can't understand what's wrong here, I never had a
problem with OE, so don't think it's something I'm doing, maybe the settings
are different for Windows mail?
