It should be there (Edit, Find, Text in this message). -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Mark" <Mark@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:BCD160F0-3D02-49F2-ACFD-79F96116177D@xxxxxx Quote: > When I go to "Edit" and try to use the option to find text in message that > option is no longer available to me for some reason. | | Re: Trouble Finding Text in Windows Mail Very strange! The only possible culprit I can think of is an incompatible antivirus program like McAfee or Norton. If either of those is present, try uninstalling. Or, if you feel adventurous, you can upgrade to Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Mark" <Mark@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:3319B503-83D8-456A-900E-1BCA32ADC934@xxxxxx Quote: > Gary, even when I select the message, the "find text in message" option still > dones not provide the option to be clicked (it is present, but it is gray > instead of black and cannot be selected. ) > -- > Mark > > > "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Quote: >> Do you have a message selected when you try that option? >> It should be there (Edit, Find, Text in this message). >> >> -- >> Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] >> >> >> "Mark" <Mark@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:BCD160F0-3D02-49F2-ACFD-79F96116177D@xxxxxx Quote: >> > When I go to "Edit" and try to use the option to find text in message that >> > option is no longer available to me for some reason. | | Re: Trouble Finding Text in Windows Mail I've seen that bellsouth.net recommends about 6 antivirus programs, about half of which cause problems in Windows Mail. I prefer avast!, which if custom installed without the module that scans email, works better with Windows Mail.
