    Problem with Outgoing Mail

Today I started getting the following error message when I tried to send
    emails:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'b.garis@xxxxxx'. Subject 'Re: ESPN
Fantasy Football: Trade Accepted', Account: 'mail.udel.edu', Server:
'mail.udel.edu', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550
<b.garis@xxxxxx>... Relaying denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
    Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I can still receive emails for some reason though. Any help would be
    greatly appreciated. Thanks

This usually means that your connection to the server goes through some
other internet provider's equipment before it gets to udel.edu. Such
connections to port 25 are often blocked to cause problems for
    spammers.

You have two choices: Switch to using the first internet provider's
SMTP server for outgoing mail, until you get back to udel.edu.
Or ask udel.edu if you can reach their outgoing email server through
a port other than port 25.
