Windows mail blue screen crash in Vista

    Hi

Last couple of days everytime I tried to open Mail I got BSD with
OX823A4DAE. I have tried every Virus scan and deleted all sub folders from WM
leaving a clean set up. Now I can open WM but when I try and set up email
address and POP etc once I submit info I get same blue screen...

    any thoughts please guys?

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of the common
ones, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one
from Trend, are known to cause various problems in Windows Mail.

Yes. Or maybe it just finally got around to causing a problem - it
doesn't do it immediately. You may want to uninstall it and replace
it with an antivirus program that doesn't cause such problems.

I use avast!, which is one of the free antivirus programs recommended
    here:

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

It's recommended that you do a custom install, though, and tell it
not to install the part that scans email. I did.
