Font settings

While I have set my fonts --for reading-- to be Consolas, for Proportional
and Fixed, it ignores my settings and uses arial. Not sure if it is a known
bug or if it is "working at intended."

Where did you set it?
Try Tools | Options | Read | Fonts for plain text or HTML messages that do
not define a font.

Last time I tried Vista, I reported this bug. Still not fixed in your
(which?) version?

Re: Font settings

You have to go to Tools | Options | Read | Fonts the first time you read a
plain text message and set the font and such and click the apply button.
Then the correct font shows in the message.

This was reported in bug as far as I understand it and the feedback from MS
was they won't fix it.

Hola Roland, et al,

I am running build 5384. Not fixed, no way to set the font now.

Saludos,

Hard to understand how it would not be a bug. The font setting becomes
worthless, it doesn't do anything, regardless of your font pick. Weird.

Re: Font settings

I haven't tried the font change as I don't have a problem with the one set,
but when I print from an email the print is so small that it is mostly just
dots. Have tried lots of things to fix that but no change. Now copy from
the email and paste into a notepad and print, but it is a pain.

Re: Font settings

The print settings are dictated by what is set for IE. So check that. Also
check what your accessibility settings may be which could affect that.

I can gladly report that this seems to have been fixed in 5472! Changed both
settings to
Lucida Console and it displays properly using this font. Progress at last!
:-)
