Pictures can't be found...

Yep suddenly this past week I am getting these wonderful warnings. Hadn't
changed settings, didn't do a thing... wondering if there was an update that
once again has impacted the wonderful world of Vista. I am one step from
going back to XP or leaving MS all together. Man never thought I would see
myself write that.

Is there a fix, or at least one in the works? I have read this section and
done the few suggestions I found, to no avail. Any techies out there have
any other suggestions? I have forwarded pictures to people and they are
getting them... it is just the danged message keeps popping up over and over
again! Even if I eliminate my background and send a blank text document it
still says the same.

Have the pictures been saved to a file?
Exactly what steps are you using?

Re: Pictures can't be found...

Ok one time all I had going was stationary that was with the Windows mail
package. Another time I was including pictures saved to a file and that I
had emailed in the past with no problem. Another time I was sending to
someone I know does text only so I had even changed from html to plain text
and with NO attachments. Each time and circumstance I get the same error.
This just started in the past couple of days. Had changed nothing! I am not
a newbie heck I started out in DOS and remember when a program called
WordStar (probably older than most folks on this board) was considered
futuristic. But dang it... I am here to tell you Vista has totally over run
me. Since it happened over the last three days and I noticed a couple of
updates I was hoping there was a fix for it. It seems I can still send the
photos... it is just a really annoying pop up all the time.

Re: Pictures can't be found...

ADDENDUM: Please note that the pop up comes up with or without attaching
pictures which are still on my harddrive right where they belong. Nothing
was moved, no directory changes, pictures are pictures are pictures... just
good old jpg's of the family from this summer.

Re: Pictures can't be found...

I do not use a signature. It is typed in the body of whatever the nature of
the email is.

Re: Pictures can't be found...

Then it is a mystery to me why you are getting the pop-up warning
even when sending a blank text email.

You might try upgrading to Windows Live Mail:
