| | Exiting Windows Mail I cannot Exit Windows Mail. If I try, the window freezes. I end up having to turn my computer off with this window still show (even though it's not active, it won't close). This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. I do not have any emails stuck in the Outbox. Everything else is fine. |

| | Re: Exiting Windows Mail Windows Mail often behaves erratically when interfered with by some antivirus programs. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled. After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their email scanning option turned off. I wonder why all of a sudden 2 weeks ago Windows Mail decided to act up? Other than that I can't exit Windows Mail, when it's open everything works fine. Just disabling part of them is not enough to stop them from causing problems - you have to uninstall them. "C.
