| Vista Enterprise Edition | Issue when using MAPI on Vista Enterprise Edition We have developed a payroll product using VB6.0 and it is being used by more than 300 clients. In this product, We have created a 'Mailer' control using Microsoft MAPI Controls 6.0(MSMAPI32.ocx) for sending mails in an ocx file called 'FKPUtilityControls.ocx'. This ocx file is referred in all the places wherever we want to send mails. This product is working fine on Windows 2000/XP platforms. But, when we are installing our application on "Vista Enterprise Edition", It is showing an error called " Application Error : Failed to load control 'Mailer' from FKPUtilityControls.ocx. Your version of FKPUtilityControls.ocx. may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application". Default mail client is Outlook Express. Many businesses install a software package that includes Outlook (not the same as Outlook Express), which is also the usual MAPI client under Vista. |
