How do I save messages?

I posted a previous message about how I've lost my email messages and how do
I restore them? Well, after I restore them, how do I save them to my hard
drive or discs, etc. I need to back them up so I can uninstall Vista without
losing my messages. Thanks!

Thanks, do you know how I can fix my original problem:

I've been having problems with Vista and was told to uninstall and reinstall
but before I did I backed up my files. I was told I should back up WM also
but MS tells me we can't do this and this is why my email is now blank. They
tell me my messages are out there somewhere I just need to find them and
restore them. Here are 2 messages I have received: "Windows Mail could not be
started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized." and "Windows Mail could
not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows message store.
Windows Mail was unable to locate its message database. If you've moved the
database files to a new location, click ok to reset the database path to that
location. (I think I clicked ok, not sure) Otherwise, click cancel to
proceed. Any existing messages will be found under orphaned accounts
(0x00000000)." Please help! I'm at work, please answer here and copy also to
cmcclure1@xxxxxx - Thanks!

Re: How do I save messages?

Sorry, I don't really know what to do about your other problem.
If it was me, I'd upgrade to Windows Live Mail, which is arguably
a better email program:

Re: How do I save messages?

ok mate the best thing to do since outlook is not relaiable is to forward all
your message to a hotmail accout or to a yahoo account and there they will be
saved for ever and you can retrieve them from anywhere in the world. good
luck

Indeed. Suddenly, everyone is an expert handing out advice, even if they
don't know how to turn on their own spell checker...
