Vista - windows mail: can't send messages

can anyone help me? i can't send emails but i can receive them. this is the
error that i get:
Kan het bericht niet verzenden. De verificatie-instelling is mogelijk niet
juist voor de server voor uitgaande e-mail [SMTP]. U vindt informatie over
dit probleem in de Help. Zoek naar 'Problemen oplossen in Windows Mail' en
raadpleeg de sectie 'Ik heb problemen met het verzenden van e-mail'. Als u
hulp nodig hebt bij het vaststellen van de juiste serverinstellingen, neemt u
contact op met de serviceprovider voor e-mail.

Het geweigerde e-mailadres was armeeman@xxxxxx. Onderwerp
'bericht', Account: 'in.versateladsl.be', Server: 'out.versateladsl.be',
Protocol: SMTP, Reactie van server: '554 refused mailfrom because return MX
does not exist', Poort: 25, Beveiligd(SSL): Nee, Serverfout: 554, Foutnummer:
0x800CCC78.

can someone please help me? i use the dutch version of windows vista.

I don't understand Dutch well enough to be sure, but it may be
telling you that it doesn't like the return address - either because it's
false or because it's not one of their customers.

hi there, i don't use any other internet connect when i was using windows xp
on outlook express, never had troubles there. the company were i got my
emailadress from came thougter with the company were i now got my internet
from, my friend has the same configuration and has no trouble sending mail.

0x800CCC78 = SMTP_REJECTED_SENDER = Unknown sender. This is caused by having the incorrect e-mail address in the Reply-To field.


See if you have a stuck undeletable message in your Inbox. If you do, then, read the "First" section in this tutorial about antivirus programs to help prevent this from happening again, then install the KB941090 Microsoft Update in the "Second" section to fix the stuck message problem.

yes i used a valid return adress, and i sended a mail to my hotmail adress.
Normally, my return adress is correct. it worked perfectly on outlook express

does not exist.
