Automatic Complete E-Mail Address When Composing

Love this feature but with this new WINDOWS MAIL, this include everyone I
reply to. I just want to automatically complete the email addresses that are
in my Contacts (like the old mail) is there anyway to do that? I have
already mistakenly emailed people that are not in my contacts list. Also I
tried to get rid of their names by deleting and they still pop up! What
should I do????

Re: Automatic Complete E-Mail Address When Composing

Sounds like you would be happier with Windows Live Mail which
auto-completes from the contacts list.

The list the addresses come from is the last 29 addresses you sent
messages to, not the Contacts list. The get rid of mistaken addresses,
the easiest way is to send 29 messages to correct addresses only.

To access the Contacts list while writing a new message, click on Tools
in the new message window and then Select recipients.

Re: Automatic Complete E-Mail Address When Composing

Doing it once should be enough.

Re: Automatic Complete E-Mail Address When Composing

Why not click on "To" and then select the contact?

Re: Automatic Complete E-Mail Address When Composing

Windows Mail saves a list of the last 29 recipients you've sent email to.
There is no easy way to delete an undesired email address from that list.
The list is stored in the registry.

Be patient. Eventually that bad address will drop off the remembered list.
