How do I display only the distribution list name in the "To" box and not all
of the people on the distribution list

Re: Distribution lists in Vista Mail Windows Mail

If you enter the group name, that's all you see... but the recipients will
see all the email addresses.
If you don't want them to see them all, use the BCC: field.
If you don't see the BCC: field in the compose window, click on View - All
Headers.
You may have to put at least one email address in the To: field in order to
send. You can use your own.

Re: Distribution lists in Vista Mail Windows Mail

hi Dave,

I have created a distribution list in contact group and send a test message
and in the bcc line I selected the distribution list (contact group) and it
showed the domain of the recipient is there anyway that I could hide th
domain also

Re: Distribution lists in Vista Mail Windows Mail

They shouldn't see anything, except for "Undisclosed-Recipient", or
something to that effect.
I just tried it, and got that in WLM and in Thunderbird.
You do have to send to more than one email address, or else the actual email
address will be displayed, same as if you used the To: field.
