| | Can't access Contacts file I have been running VISTA Home for almost a year. For some reason I can no longer enter a new contact in the Contacts file. I get the following messages in consecutive windows. 1) UNABLE TO CREATE THIS CONTACT. The location where this contact was to be saved is inaccessible. 2) An unknown error occurred while performing the requested action in this Contact. When I check the properties for the Contacts file, it is marked Read Only. When I try to change that attribute after having signed on for administrative privileges, I am allowed to uncheck the Read Only box but when it won't allow me to save the change. (When I open Properties again, the Read Only box is still marked.) I am the only person using this laptop but when I transferred my files from my old computer, another user profile was partially created because of name formatting issues. Could I have two Contacts folders? What is happening? Does anyone know? |
