Hello,

I do have a problem with windows mail (vista home). When I want to send an
e-mail it remains in my outbox until the next time I start windows mail. I
checked my settings but can't find anything wrong. any idea?

Click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there's no check mark in the
box
before Send messages immediately, click on this box and then Apply. Click
on OK.

Karst, if you tried Robert's suggestion, but the problem still remains,
let us know which antivirus program you are running.

Re: send e-mail only possible when I close windows mail and start

I checked the settings are correct but the mail will not send. I am using Avg
free version. The box scanning outgoing mail is not marked, only the incoming
mail is scanned. Any idear?? Does Robert receive this mail also? I appreciate
your help

Re: send e-mail only possible when I close windows mail and start

I receive it, but it's newsgroup posts instead of mail. Those often go to
many
parts of the world. With AVG, you may need to uninstall it and install it
again
with a custom install that tells it to leave out the part that scans email,
if you
didn't install it that way the first time.
