MAPI error on import from outlook

Hi there,

i buy a new notebook and try to import my emails from my pc.

If i go to file -> import -> messages -> Outlook i receive the error:

you can't import messages from the MAPI-client

(i hope, i translate it correct, my english isn't very good, please excuse)

How can i fix this problem?

Any help is appreciated.

You have two choices for how to import messages from Outlook:
1. Install Outlook under Vista. Version 2003 or later works
properly, version 2002 works but with a few problems. Outlook
Express won't work under Vista. Outlook is also known as the
MAPI client under Vista, and is needed to help Windows Mail
understand .pst files. A free trial version will run more than long
enough for the transfer. 2. Transfer first from Outlook to Outlook
Express on the old computer. Then transfer from Outlook
Express to Windows Mail:

You may need to set the files transferred from read only to read-write
before
you import them.
