| | Remember Password Ever Since the first of the year Windows Mail does not remember the user name or the password although I have put them both in Tools/Accounts on the Servers tab and instructed it to Remember password and clicked Apply. This has just happened since January 1. It never happened before. Second Question - What is Live Mail and should I download it -- Glenn Glenn T. It never happened before. in all lower case, so try that. What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause various problems in Windows Mail. Microsoft seems to be putting more effort into it now than into Windows Mail. Download and install it if you are looking for another email program to try. I think there's another program with the same name available elsewhere, so be sure to get Microsoft's version: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview Quote: > -- > > Glenn > > Glenn T. | | Re: Remember Password I have always used a lower case user name, before and after January 1. The problem is that Tools/Accounts does not remember the password even after it has been instructed to. | | Re: Remember Password This sometimes means problems caused by an antivirus program. You may have to remove the email account and then create it again to get rid of such problems. http://netservices.verizon.net/porta...help/selection "Glenn Dulmage" <gdulmage@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:eScTSDaTIHA.4272@xxxxxx Quote: >I have always used a lower case user name, before and after January 1.
