It gives instructions for Outlook Express, but they should work under
Windows Mail also.

My problem sounds similar: I can send e mails but not receive. I can only
connect through dial up, as my broadband connection appears not to be
recognised. Nothing useful in Help menu! PR

Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Connection.
Click the box to enable it, then select the desired broadband
connection (typically the Local Area Network connection).

If you still can't receive, post the error message you get.

The error message is simple - there isn't one - it simply wont send an email!
What is the problem - I can receive but it wont send!!!!!

You have to tell it how to access your email account(s).

I am using bellsouth DSL and trying to use OUtlook express now known as
Windows mail - and it doesn't work - I can receive but can't send - i do NOT
get an error message - it just simple will not send!
