| Guest | Re: error message Please be more descriptive. What were you doing just before the error message popped up? Were you opening Windows Mail, or were you trying to delete a message? -- Gary VanderMolen (MS-MVP WLM) "samina" <samina@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:42A35A17-55D1-47DC-AA05-AEA7EA6ED8B5@xxxxxx Quote: >i keep getting a message unknown error has occured > it just doest go away i havent got any help till now pl help me as it is > very frustrating > thx > samina |

| Guest | Re: error message Which antivirus program are you running? Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, NOT just disabled. After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download and install a more compatible antivirus like: AVG free edition: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff or Avast free edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom install, and then deselect the email scanning option. -- Gary VanderMolen (MS-MVP WLM) "samina" <samina@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:BA07EF67-9182-4294-A13E-146649D6A2B2@xxxxxx Quote: > thx for helping me i get this message as soon as i try downloading mail from > my gmail acc > thx > samina > "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Quote: >> Please be more descriptive. | Guest | Re: error message Did you use the standard install for avast!? If so, it may work better with Windows Mail if you uninstall it, then do a custom install that tells it to leave out the part that scans email.
