Deleted items not purging - please help!

    Deleted items not purging - please help!

    I have three e-mail accounts in Windows Mail all with the same provider. For
    only one of them when I delete an e-mail it strikes it through but then will
    not purge from the inbox. For the other accounts it does purge. I can't see
    any difference between the accounts on their setup. Please can you help.

    Hi Chuck,

    This will fix the stuck undeletable email message problem:

    Installing the KB941090 update will just fix the problem for now. You must stop the cause to prevent it from happening again. Read the section titled "FIRST" in this tutorial about antivirus and anti-spyware/adware programs to help prevent this from happening again, then install the KB941090 Microsoft Update in the section titled "SECOND" to fix and be able to delete the stuck message from the problem folder.

    IMAP deleted e-mails not purging

    Further info on my query just in case anyone views this.

    I know about the views-current views-show deleted message etc. but that
    doesn't seem to make any difference. It is just frustrating that the system
    works perfectly for my other two AOL e-mail accounts also viewed through
    Windows Mail but not this one. I hope the problem is not the dreaded AOL!
