| | accessing messages before log in Is there a way that I can set up mail so that messages in my folders (inbox, sent, etc) cannot be viewed before I log in. As it is now, anyone can walk up to my computer, open windows mail, and read all my messages without ever logging in? |

| | Re: accessing messages before log in Assuming you have a Windows user password, press Winkey and L. That is the only effective way to secure all your personal stuff, not just mail but also non-mail documents and pictures. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLM) "kayaker" <kayaker@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:F845F516-DEE1-438E-81E6-54CD81ADCC7C@xxxxxx Quote: > Is there a way that I can set up mail so that messages in my folders (inbox, > sent, etc) cannot be viewed before I log in. | | Re: accessing messages before log in Log into what? There is no Windows Mail login. You stop people with your Vista login. Put a password on it, and lock your screen when you're away (Winkey-L). -- http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "kayaker" <kayaker@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:F845F516-DEE1-438E-81E6-54CD81ADCC7C@xxxxxx Quote: > Is there a way that I can set up mail so that messages in my folders > (inbox, > sent, etc) cannot be viewed before I log in. | | RE: accessing messages before log in Hi, did you get an answer to your question? Besides the "lock" feature that someone suggested...I also have this dilemma...yes I can lock my computer so others can't use it but what if I allow someone (family member) use my laptop, just don't want them accessing my email? -- Ellie "kayaker" wrote: Quote: > Is there a way that I can set up mail so that messages in my folders (inbox, > sent, etc) cannot be viewed before I log in.
