Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR problem retrieving message.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD this error just started about 2 days ago. my other accounts email works fine.. any suggestions |

| | Re: cant send email, i get an error message In your browser go to http://mail.yahoo.com. Log in with your AT&T credentials. Delete the oldest message you see there, and any others that look suspicious or unwanted. If it won't delete, download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause various problems in Windows Mail, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again. If you send a message using webmail, does it get through? If you send mail to one of your other accounts, does it get through? Do you still get an error message when trying to send mail? If so, is it the same error message? Sending failure without an error message, and without getting stuck in the outbox, is usually caused by an incompatible antivirus program. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee and Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, NOT just disabled. I suggest that you do a temporary uninstall of your antivirus. You can always reinstall it if there is no improvement.
