| | E-Mail problem I use Windows Mail as I liked Outlook Express. Since yesterday I have not been able to receive any mail using the program as on logging in I get the usual receiving message in the bottom left tool box but the my AVG E-mail scanner pops a window up saying 'AutoPoP3 Downloading message #1.65%' The message does not load any further and eventually the message window tells me that I have now 15 messages (increasing time progresses) which cannot be delivered due to various possible causes. I assume that my e-mail program is stalling whilst trying to load the first message and eventually gives up. I can view my messages via my BT Yahoo mail box so all is not lost. However, can anyone out there offer any help as I would like to continue using Windows Mail and the longer it is unresolved the messages will pile up undelivered. -- Geb Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| | Re: E-Mail problem You should not have AVG scanning your emails. Uninstall AVG, then reinstall it using the custom install option whereby you can unselect the email scanning module. | | Re: E-Mail problem I am not sure about my problem. I have Vista with Mail and free AVG. The email scanner will not stay functional. How can I make it stay on as to not have to activate it each day. Thanks "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Quote: > You should not have AVG scanning your emails.
