| | alphabetizing/sorting address in the To and Cc lines there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how windows mail alphabetizes/sorts email addresses in sent mail. i am new to windows mail and set up two groups. i emailed one group and the names in the "to" line were sorted by first name, z-a. i emailed another group and the names in the "to" line were sorted by first name, a-z. i emailed several others (not a group, just individual email addresses) and they were sorted by the order in which i entered them from my contact list. what am i missing? is there any way all mail being sent can be sorted alphabetically by name or domain name? thanks. |

| | Re: alphabetizing/sorting address in the To and Cc lines do not understand the problem this causes, since they are in a GROUP, they will all get the mail. regardless of which one is listed first. if you are not using a real GROUP, but entering the addresses individually, then would have no idea why it sorts them differently. mikeyhsd@xxxxxx "stan" <stan@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:BFE694BB-289B-49E3-8EC6-9C972DD38FCD@xxxxxx there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how windows mail alphabetizes/sorts email addresses in sent mail. i am new to windows mail and set up two groups. i emailed one group and the names in the "to" line were sorted by first name, z-a. i emailed another group and the names in the "to" line were sorted by first name, a-z. i emailed several others (not a group, just individual email addresses) and they were sorted by the order in which i entered them from my contact list. what am i missing? is there any way all mail being sent can be sorted alphabetically by name or domain name? thanks. |
