Windows Mail Error with sending and receiving mail

When I first used my windows mail with my aim.com pop mail address. It worked
fine. I could send and receive messages. Now I always get this message
whenever i get on windows mail:

Account: 'pop.aim.com', Server: 'pop.aim.com', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Cannot connect to POP server 64.12.194.120
(64.12.194.120:110), connect error 10060', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

I don't know what the problem is. I could receive and send mail from this
server before. And its free to use their pop mail. I don't have to pay like
with yahoo or msn. Could someone please help me with this problem? Thank You

These instructions are for Outlook Express, but should also work under
Windows Mail.

If that doesn't help, what if any antivirus programs do you have? Some
of them tend to cause various problems in Windows Mail, although
seldom immediately.

Re: Windows Mail Error with sending and receiving mail

Diva88,

It appears that your settings are correct. Perhaps the server was down when
you tried to get your email. I was able to telnet to it, so it's up now.
Are you trying it from the same location? On the same network?
