Norton to Vista security again

I have Norton Internet Security. After viewing all the anguish in the Windows Mail postings about incompatibility with Norton I would like to remove it and go back to the regular security features in Windows Vista.
Am I shooting myself in the foot??

If not, how do I bring the Vista security features back?

Thanks, Al

RE: Norton to Vista security again

Go to programs and parts in your CONTROL PANEL.
REMOVE Symantec Norton Anti-virus and INSTALL NOD32 Antivirus.
NOD32 is the BEST for Vista. (30 days free.) Address of NOD32 is:
http://www.nod32.nl
Y`re welcome,
Hubert.

Re: Norton to Vista security again

It may help to also run the Norton removal tool.

Re: Norton to Vista security again

Vista does not include an antivirus program. I recommend that
after you uninstall Norton, download and install one of these
two free antivirus programs:

AVG free edition:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff
or
Avast free edition:
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

With either of those, during the install phase you must select custom
install, and then deselect the email scanning option.
