| | Emails sends by itself Just bought a new laptop with Vista and I'm using Windows Mail. Sometimes in the middle of typing an email it automatically sends by itself. I'm as positive as I can be that I'm not accidentally hitting any key combinations to cause this like, "alt+s. Can anybody help? |

| | RE: Emails sends by itself I don't suppose you have a n F key or similar that is assigned to send email? I can't think of any other possibilities. Maybe you should take a speed-typing class (a little humor). Good luck! -- curlgirl "chd2275" wrote: Quote: > Just bought a new laptop with Vista and I'm using Windows Mail. | | Re: Emails sends by itself A recent version of the Trend antivirus program also causes assorted problems in Windows Mail. I'd recommend antivirus programs known not to cause such problems in Windows Mail, such as avast! or AVG, either one with a custom install that tells it to leave out the part that scans email. Avoid having more than one antivirus program installed at a time, since that tends to cause problems. http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff The Norton and McAfee antivirus programs don't clean up properly after an uninstall. You need to run the separate cleanup programs offered for them: <http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039> <http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=107083&lc=4105&partner=McAfee&type=TS&ia=1> Some spyware also causes problems, so I'd recommend installing both of these antispyware programs and running a full scan with these also: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html http://www.lavasoftusa.com/single/trialpay.php "Roy Ballew" <rjballew@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:C1CC5944-E687-424D-9C63-C8ACD4DB66B9@xxxxxx Quote: > That sounds like you guys have a virus that have hit your computer.. > > It takes all your Contacts and sends them out random with an attached > little package.. > > If you have McAffee or Norton,, get a real Virus program to clean this > up.. > > I'd recommend TrendMicro.. there's couple free programs also.. > > -- > Roy Ballew > > > "paujo" <paujo@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:0A3D1F8F-F104-48C3-BA49-511D29865462@xxxxxx Quote: >>I have the exact same issue it happens all the time..... everyone thinks >>it >> is me but it is this stupid computer.... | | Re: Emails sends by itself That sounds like you guys have a virus that have hit your computer.. It takes all your Contacts and sends them out random with an attached little package.. If you have McAffee or Norton,, get a real Virus program to clean this up.. I'd recommend TrendMicro.. there's couple free programs also.. -- Roy Ballew "paujo" <paujo@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0A3D1F8F-F104-48C3-BA49-511D29865462@xxxxxx Quote: >I have the exact same issue it happens all the time..... everyone thinks it > is me but it is this stupid computer.... | | Re: Emails sends by itself Doesn't sound like a Windows Mail problem. It probably is a hardware or driver problem. If the computer is under warranty, the repair service should fix it for free. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "paul" <paul@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:AE87F263-EF37-4C09-89C7-22D516A6D81D@xxxxxx Quote: >I have the same problems as we speak > > > have you managed to resolve it?? > > help!!!!!!! > "paujo" wrote > Quote: >> I have the exact same issue it happens all the time..... everyone thinks it >> is me but it is this stupid computer....
