USERNAME & Password required

Windows mail is not working with my yahoo email account after 8 months of no
issues. Repeatedly asks for username and password - which I correctly type.
I have removed my Norton antivirus, deleted and re-setup my email account
without any luck. The error message is:

Account: 'FOUREMCO', Server: 'pop.bizmail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR not a bizmail user.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91

PLEASE HELP

Did you run this cleanup tool?

<http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039>

You might also have to remove your email account under Windows
Mail one more time and then create it again, to finish the cleanup.

What type of Yahoo account do you have? This applies to some
types of Yahoo accounts, but not all of them.

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-35.html

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-08.html

http://ypopsemail.com/

Are you entering your username with no CAPITAL LETTERS? Have
you tried it both followed and not followed by the part of your email
address starting with @? Are you making sure your password is
entered with CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct places?
Some email providers check such things, and some don't.

RE: USERNAME & Password required

I am having the same problem. This morning I could send and receive windows
mail , two hours later I also had the same error message popping up.
Username/password. I have tried everything suggested but still getting error
message. It seems a big problem for many people , why can't windows mail get
it sorted, we can't all be using the wrong passwords !!!!

Re: USERNAME & Password required

Some email servers insist that you enter your username with no CAPITAL
LETTERS. Some insist that you follow it with the part of your email address
starting with @, and some insist that you don't. Many insist that you make
sure you use CAPITAL and lowercase letters in the correct places in your
password. A few refuse to accept passwords containing some
non-alphanumerical characters that are accepted in password for logging
into webmail.

Also, Windows Mail has a quirk that often makes it forget your saved
password if you click on Apply just after adding the check mark before
Remember password.

Your error message is likely to be a little different. Click on it and copy
it
to your next message.

Re: USERNAME & Password required

The error message is...........

Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid user name or password.', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

My password /username is correct, but it won't accept it.I have also checked
them in the user account section.
