| | Restoring Email Messages and Settings After Format Before doing a format and reinstall of Vista Home Premium, I ran the backup wizard to save, among other things email, and then the restore wizard after the reinstall. The backup files and folders were transferred from the external hard drive to a folder on my desktop called "Shortcut to System Recovery Files". When I open Windows Mail and click on File > Import, there appears to be no mechanism to fetch the Windows Mail settings and messages from the System Recovery Files. How do I restore the Inbox and other folders' messages, the account settings? Thanks for whatever help you can offer. I'm lost in maze of strange folders and files. |
