| | sending photos by e-mail and reduce photo size Just purchased a new Dell 6400 and now want to send my photos to others. Have clicked on attchment in e-mail, clicked on my docs---into photos--clicked on the chosen photo to e-mail---e-mail page comes up with attachment BUT also in text part of e-mail page a GIANT photo which takes an age to send. Any tips on just to include attachment only, without this large additional photo. Worked well on my old system---but Vista seems to churn up one or two problems |

You may look for a way to reduce the size of the picture file before you send it instead; that will make the message go faster even if only one copy actually goes out, but will remove a little of the detail in the picture. After reducing the file size and storing it in a new file, close all the programs that access the picture before attaching it, since Windows Mail has problems adding attachments that are open in some other program. |
