| | Clicking on links in browser brings up Outlook instead of Windows Help! When I click on a MailTo link in my browser (IE or Firefox) Outlook comes up instead of Windows Mail. Windows Mail is set as my default mail handler and I don't use Outlook (2007) but can't seem to remove it without loosing the rest of office. It doesn't seem like it should be this complicated. Thanks |

| | Re: Clicking on links in browser brings up Outlook instead of Windows It is quite feasible to have Outlook installed, yet have Windows Mail as your default. I am set up that way. Ensure that Windows Mail has *all* its defaults: Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs." After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows Live Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "WhitneyW" <WhitneyW@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:3D943CD8-C453-4445-BCED-9E83EE81BB9F@xxxxxx Quote: > Help!
